Harinotas Magazine, Edition 100

Haz de Oros, the most recognized brand of Harinera del Valle, has a comprehensive portfolio dedicated to supporting the growth of bakers across the country. Among its most established strategies is the Harinotas magazine, which reached its 100th edition in 2023.

Challenge

The challenge for this 100th edition was to achieve a differential in terms of recipes, tips, stories, editing, and presentation. Additionally, it aimed to pay tribute to the Professional Baking Advisors (APP) who are the driving force behind this magazine, contributing their recipes and recommendations. Given that Harinotas has become an integral part of its readers’ landscape, achieving a significant differential posed a considerable challenge. 

Action Plan

To address this challenge, we initiated a profound market research and analysis of references. We also reviewed past editions of the magazine, including the first one launched in June 1995. Furthermore, we conducted interviews with APP members to honor their contributions and recorded their recipes. We then collaborated with the client to identify the optimal style for writing the magazine. 

The outcome

By combining the knowledge obtained from research, APP stories, client needs, and concept development, we created the ‘100 Migas Doradas de Harinotas’ (100 Golden Crumbs). This edition was designed as a nostalgic, storytelling-style tribute to represent all previous editions, share APP anecdotes, showcase the first edition, and explain the magazine’s name. 

The outcome was a unique and engaging edition that marked a turning point in the magazine’s history. By compiling Harinotas’ best moments and sharing its story, we showed that a story as important as this deserves to be told, displayed, and tasted on every page.
